Socialization is vital for good mental health for your puppy as he grows up. Researchers and behaviorists know that isolated puppies do not grow up to be well adjusted adults - that socialization period between 10 and 16 weeks of age is vital. However, veterinarians routinely recommend that puppies be kept home until they have completed their vaccinations - which puts most puppies at five to six months age - way past that window of socialization. What can puppies owners do?
