Dr. Pachtinger is the VSEC Trauma Center Medical Director. In 2014, VSEC was selected as one of the first hospitals in the country to be recognized as a national trauma center and included as a member of the Veterinary Committee on Trauma (VetCOT).
Dr. Pachtinger has been published in numerous veterinary journals, including the Journal of Veterinary Emergency Critical Care, the Journal of Veterinary Dentistry, the Clinicians Brief, and Today’s Veterinary Practice where he sits on the editorial advisory board. He has also been published in numerous textbooks including the Five-Minute Veterinary Consult Clinical Companion: Small Animal Toxicology book (2012), Feline Emergency and Critical Care Medicine (2010), and Veterinary Clinics of North America.
