Health and Behavior of Companion Animal Friends

The objective of the Great Pet Radio Show is to provide listeners a forum which addresses the health and behavior of their companion animal friends. Many, if not all, issues that pet owners face each day are of a medical or behavioral nature. With Sarah and Brian's experience of training over 35,000 dogs and Dr. Jim's knowledge of Veterinary Medicine, callers are treated with informative, compassionate and unparalleled advice.

The Great Pet Radio Show also focuses on pet related current events. It's one thing to report these stories with Sarah, Brian and Dr. Jim's expertise, listeners are provided straight talk about what works and what doesn't and how the pet owner, consumer should interpret pet related news stories and current events. The show often includes in studio guests that further educate the listening audience and allows them to have direct on air questions. The show has been termed entertaining, informative, direct and humorous. Sarah, Brian and Dr. Jim share the listeners mantra that a pet makes a house a home!

Dr. Jim McKiernan and guest host Ann Nichols welcome The Cat Fanciers’ Association. The Cat Fanciers' Association. (CFA) was established in the U.S. in 1906 and is the world's largest registry of pedigreed cats and the predominant pedigreed cat registering association in North America. Headquartered in Manasquan, New Jersey, CFA's stated mission is to preserve and promote the pedigreed breeds of cats and to enhance the well-being of all cats. CFA's first licensed cat shows were held in Buffalo, New York and Detroit, Michigan in 1906. CFA has grown tremendously during the last century and celebrated its centennial in 2006. In May 2006, CFA recognized 39 breeds for its Championship Class, one in Provisional Class and one in Miscellaneous Class.
