Ingrid Johnson

Ingrid Johnson is a well known behavior counselor and veterinary technician, formerly of The Cat Clinic of Roswell. Ingrid has been working specifically with cats since 1999 and has had the opportunity to attend many continuing education courses all over the country, including the first ever all feline behavior conference hosted by the American Association of Feline Practitioners (AAFP). Ingrid has also spoken at different humane society events on common feline behavior problems, as well as hosted group education seminars for Good Mews.  Ingrid has been interviewed for multiple articles for Cat Fancy magazine, featuring all of the feline friendly accommodations she has made for her multi-cat home.  Local Atlanta publications and humane societies have interviewed her for her expertise as well.  The Atlanta Journal & Constitution has selected Ingrid as a Behavioral Expert for their AJCpets webpage (See her profile at http://pets.yourajc.com/category/pets-blogger/pet-dish-ask-an-expert/meet-the-experts/).

Ethics, quality and compassion are the aspects of care that are of the utmost importance to Ingrid.  Whether performing a dental cleaning, treating a hospitalized patient or giving a cat a bath, Ingrid feels that you must treat each patient as if it were your own pet. Ingrid is a skilled surgical assistant, trained laboratory technician, and a fastidious groomer.  She will leave your kitty looking like she “just stepped out of the salon.”

Ingrid also offers behavioral consultations in her free time to help owners who may be having problems with their feline’s finicky behavior. Ingrid is an Associate Member of the International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants, an organization dedicated to providing continuing education and resources to animal behavior professionals (http://www.iaabc.org/suchen/display_consultant.php). She specializes in cats with litter box avoidance issues, aggression (human or animal directed), and inappropriate scratching problems. Although these tend to be the most commonly addressed  problems, Ingrid is able to help with a whole spectrum of issues. Each behavioral consultation by phone is $75 or house calls are available for $175, each includes lifetime enrollment. Ingrid also provides consultations on feline friendly décor, to meet your cats’ needs with attractive interior design in mind. Call for a home consultation. Come by PWC to see her line of scratching posts and feline foraging toys.  If you need help with your kitty, please fill out the behavioral questionnaire on this website and email it to catspwc@bellsouth.net, or call 770-579-6001.
