Frisky The Cat!!

Dr. Lisa & Richie Redding on Pet Life Radio

The hysterical Rob Stapleton and his brilliant wife Chastity come by for a great conversation about their cat Frisky. From HBO and Comedy Central, Rob is one of Richie's mentors and favorite performers. We hear about his childhood with pets and how he came to love Chastity's cat Frisky (who is one of Dr. Lisa's patients!).

Topics include:  A dog named Satan?! The lessons of having pets in the Bronx,  why Rob is convinced his cat has soul, and on a much more serious note, the value of a Novel Protein Diet.

Born and raised in the Bronx, Rob Stapleton has a versatile style of telling jokes that has made him a favorite on BET’s ComicView and Comedy Central’s Comic Groove. He’s also headlined a set at Montreal’s prestigious Just for Laughs Comedy Festival. Whether he is performing for a few dozen, or a few thousand people, he gives you his all every time he hits the stage. His constant flow of energy and overwhelming crowd reaction has made Rob Stapleton one of the hottest standup performers working today.

A well rounded comedian, Rob writes all of his material and also extends it to others in the comedy business. Rob’s television credits include writing sketches for Tracy Morgan that have aired on Saturday Night Live. He’s also appeared on VH1′s Paris Hilton’s Most Shocking Moments, Britney Spears’ Most Shocking Moments and Michael Jackson’s Most Shocking Moments.

Rob filmed a Laffapolooza comedy festival DVD in Atlanta hosted by Jamie Foxx, and his other film credits include the starring role of rapper Jay-Z in Death of a Dynasty and lead actor in the dramedy The Stuff, which he also wrote.

Most recently, Rob Stapleton was featured as a comedian on Mike Epps Presents: Live at Club Nokia, which was released in the fall of 2010. About his future, Rob says, “I’ve only scratched the surface of what I plan to do with my career, so if you want to take the ride…buckle up, because you’re in for a hell of a journey.”
