    Monica Leighton is the owner of Professional Pet Sitting. Professional Pet Sitting was started in 2002 and has grown to a very succesfull business winning awards such as the Chamber of Commerce "Business of the Year" as well as multiple wins as  "Best of Venice"  in the pet sitting category. Monica is the Practice Manager of Jacaranda Animal Hospital, Pet Tip of the Week Expert for the Doggy Diva Radio Show, Canine and Feline Nutritional Consultant and President of the National Association of Professional Pet Sitters.

    Monica has written columns and articles for the Venice Gondolier, Pet Pages, NAPPS Network and Sarasota Pet Magazine. Monica was the first known pet sitter to develop a Disaster Preparedness Program for her clients and has given seminars across the United States training pet sitters in disaster preparedness. Monica has a beautiful little girl, Hailey, 2 dogs, Baby & Daisy, and 2 cats, Socks & Lilly and lives in Venice, FL.
