Senior Veterinary Toxicologist & DVM Supervisor

Dr. Renee Schmid has been with Pet Poison Helpline and Safety Call International since 2013. She received her BS in Agriculture and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degrees from Kansas State University. Since veterinary school, Dr. Schmid has worked as a small animal general practitioner, and has also received additional clinical training through an anesthesia residency. In 2018, Dr. Schmid became a Diplomate of the American Board of Toxicology (ABT). In 2020, Dr. Schmid became a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Toxicology.
