What About The Dog? Cat?

Isabel Alvarez Arata on Pet Life Radio

We all hope to be there for our pets as long as they live but what if fate takes a different turn? Isabel invited Christine Ciana Calabrese to discuss just that.

In Episode 22, Isabel talks about the importance of pet care planning for the unexpected with the author of books about planning for pets. Christine Calabrese wrote "What About the Dog" and "What About the Cat" after hearing that a well known cardiologist and author had a freak accident and died. Thinking that none of us is safe from the potential of a devastating accident that leaves us unable to care for our pets, or worse, Christine created her very complete and carefully curated books to help pet parents leave their loved ones prepared in the case they cannot continue caring for their pets.

On the show, Isabel plays dog and cat trivia with Christine before digging into the details of the books. She shares the story of a pet sitting client of hers that went on vacation and never came back. While these things don't happen often, they certainly can. Christine highlights tips for completing the books, preparing, planning, and contributing financially to the longterm care of our pets if someone else has to take over.
