Chippin' in for Pets & The Planet

Isabel Alvarez Arata on Pet Life Radio

What in the world?! American pets consume 25-30% of the meat that is consumed in the US. That's a lot of meat and a huge impact on the environment... namely, the deforestation of the Brazilian Amazon. In this episode, Kathleen Wojtowicz, Marketing Manager for Chippin, a company dedicated to pets and the planet, helps Isabel better understand the HUGE impact that having companion animals, specifically dogs, has on the environment. She also teaches us about two alternative proteins that present a fantastic way to reduce our pets' eco pawprints. Would you eat cricket protein??? Or feed it to your dog?
