From Bodybuilder to Rescue Advocate

Isabel Alvarez Arata on Pet Life Radio

Dr. Michael Dusa was a chiropractor for years. He's also been a fitness fanatic and bodybuilder since his teens. Once he was unable to continue his chiropractic practice due to health concerns, Dr. Dusa turned his attention to the homeless animal population, the overworked and underfunded shelters, and the rescues that desperately need help. He's working tirelessly to raise funds for animal welfare organizations with his brand of pet-focused apparel, The Fozzie Company. In this episode, Dr. Dusa and Isabel discuss the state of affairs for shelters and rescues in 2023 and why it's so important to support them right now. They also discuss some options pet parents have when facing the worst-case scenario - having to give up their pets for financial reasons. Dr. Michael Dusa is passionate about saving pets' lives and his work to Feed Them All™.

BIO:

Hi! My name is Dr. Michael Dusa, and I spent many years helping humans live better lives through good health practices in my successful chiropractic clinic. Unfortunately, after suffering a bad injury to my right arm and wrist, I was forced to retire from practice after 15 years. At the midpoint of my life, I made the decision to totally switch gears and devote my efforts to helping homeless shelter animals and no-kill shelters wherever the need was found.
