Booze for Paws: Sipping for a Cause

Isabel Alvarez Arata on Pet Life Radio

Sid Chand is the generous founder behind Booze for Paws, a spirits company that donates all profits to animal rescue. From whiskey to gin and some spirits in between, Sid knows booze and loves pets, which is what brought him on Covered in Pet Hair with fellow boozy pet lover, Isabel.

In this episode, Isabel and Sid learn whether or not the word whiskey should have an E, how Sid likes to drink his whiskey, and how many whiskeys one restaurant in San Diego offers aficionados. In addition, Isabel and Sid share their love of pets and animal rescue, their commitment to supporting homeless pets, and how small consumer choices can make a world of difference. Cheers!

BIO:

Sid Chand got the idea for Booze For Paws one Friday evening while he was hanging out with his fur kids and enjoying a glass or two of his favorite peaty Islay scotch (the one that his incredibly loving and supportive wife Christy says smells like bandages and iodine). He figured if that Newman guy could give away 100% of his food company profits to charity, he could find a way to do it with booze. Sid has a full-time day job with a company that he loves, and plans to hold on to/stay with for as long as they’ll let him. Booze For Paws is a labor of love, and his hope is that someday he’ll be able to get a good night’s sleep knowing he did everything he could to help save as many furry souls as possible.
