BIO:

Dr. Kimberly Moen, DVM
I have always loved animals. Among being on farms, going on wildlife photography shoots, and having my own furry family members, it was destined that I should become a Veterinarian so I could take care of the furry companions I loved so much. After completing my B.S. in Biology, I went on to study and work as a Certified Veterinary Technician, initially at the Smithsonian National Zoo for an externship, then wildlife rehabilitation, emergency, surgery, and finally general practice before going to Vet school.

I graduated from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine after completing my clinical rotations at the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine. I had externships at Belize Zoo, Brevard Zoo and Lion Country Safari, and translocating animals in South Africa, Though working with wildlife was extremely thrilling, growing up with a strong Christian faith, I wondered how i could reconcile my passion for animals and fulfill the need to be in service to people.

I joined general small animal practice, then I found my calling with the Lap of Love family. Through them, I am able to offer comfort and guidance to people who are going through one of the hardest times in their lives, as well as relieve or prevent the suffering of their furry family members.  When I can make the difficult process of letting go of a loved one any easier on the family and their fur baby, it fills my heart.
