Meet Kirsten Brand, a packaging engineer and proud dog mom to Emma and Teddy. Recognizing that one in three dogs -- including her Emma -- are noise phobic to fireworks, thunder, construction noise and other sounds, she created PawNix. Kirsten Brand and Emma (Yorkie/Malti-poo) are the founders of PAWNIX, a company that creates noise-cancelling headphones for dogs. Kirsten spent 20 years in Research and Development. She and Emma also worked in the Pet Industry for a large Consumer Product Goods Company for over 5 years. Kirsten and Emma needed to find a solution for Emma, who suffers from anxiety and stress caused by loud noises such as fireworks and thunderstorms. Nothing they found on the market worked for Emma, so they developed PAWNIX Noise Cancelling Headphones, which are designed to electronically remove, block out loud noises, and help calm dogs in stressful situations. Kirsten and Emma invented PAWNIX so that Emma could also be comfortable traveling in airplanes and have ear protection during loud sporting events.
