For The Love of Dog: The Ultimate Relationship Guide

In this episode, Michelle Fern has a fun conversation with Pilley Bianchi, author of For The Love of Dog: The Ultimate Relationship Guide. It’s written by Pilley the co-owner with her father John Pilley of Chaser, dubbed the “smarted dog in the world.”  When Chaser died in 2019, Bianchi began work on this book, a treasure trove of observations, lessons, and wisdom she gained from her time with Chaser. Illustrated by New Yorker and New York Times columnist Calum Heath, For The Love of Dog is a delightful, playful book filled with scientific research as well as practical advice—like canine body language and the effect on praise for dogs—as well as humorous entries, like “Dogs Ain’t Wolves,” and “Things Your Dog Likes That You Think Are Really Gross.”
