February is National Pet Dental Health Month, or for us on Cattitude, National Cat Dental Health Month! This week Michelle Fern welcomes Dr. Amber Karwacki of Heart + Paw to talk about how to keep your cat’s really sharp teeth, clean and healthy. From home dental care to annual veterinary dental exams, tune in to find out how to give you cat’s teeth the attention they deserve!
BIO:
Dr. Karwacki received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Oklahoma State University. After graduating, she worked in New Jersey and Philadelphia both in private and corporate practice as well as with a guide dog school. Dr. Karwacki’s clinical interests include surgery, behavior, and ophthalmology. She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, New Jersey Veterinary Medical Association, and Pennsylvania Veterinary Medical Association.
In her spare time, Dr. Karwacki can be found baking or in her garden with her husband and two sons. She participates in charity cycling events, 5K runs with her older son, and has recently started entering triathlons. Her miniature zoo at home includes two dogs, two cats, a leopard gecko, a hamster, koi pond and seven chickens.
