We use this headline to open a conversation with Dr. Courtney Campbell, board certified veterinary surgeon, about why this might not be a good idea and how to find alternatives.

Dr. Courtney Campbell graduated from the Tuskegee University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2005. He is currently the head of the surgical department at CARE Emergency and Specialty Animal Hospital in Santa Barbara, California.  Dr. Campbell is a regular guest on programs such as The Doctors, Hallmark Channel's Home and Family, The Real, and The Pet Collective’s YouTube channel Ask a Vet.
