Denise Richards is a passionate animal welfare advocate, working with Best Friends Animal Society on several projects, including its efforts to transport dogs from high-kill animal shelters to other parts of the country with a higher demand for pet adoptions.
Richards has acted in television and movies since the early 1990s, with appearances in Saved by the Bell, Married... with Children, Melrose Place, Beverly Hills, 90210, Seinfeld, Starship Troopers, Wild Things, Drop Dead Gorgeous, 30 Rock, and Twisted. In 2011, Richards published a memoir, The Real Girl Next Door, which became a New York Times Best Seller.
Richards is the mother of two teenage daughters, Sam and Lola.
