Academy award-winning producer, Glen Zipper stops by to talk with Marcie and Lovey about the global Netflix documentary sensation Dogs. Glen shares his personal story of how his adopted dog, Anthony, changed his life from being a prosecuting attorney to an Oscar winning producer. Glen gives us some personal and behind the scene insights into this documentary that beautifully captures the bond between dogs and humans. He talks about the different challenges, the different characters and the different geography that combine to give us this cinematic masterpiece. Glen Zipper is the founder and president of Zipper Bros Films and formerly an Assistant Prosecutor in Hudson County, New Jersey.

In addition to producing the Academy Award® winning documentary UNDEFEATED, Glen created and Executive Produced the hit Netflix Original documentary series DOGS, Executive Produced the acclaimed Cinemax comedy/documentary series TALES FROM THE TOUR BUS directed by Mike Judge (Silicon Valley, Beavis and Butthead, King of the Hill, Idiocracy), THE PANAMA PAPERS directed by Alex Winter (Deep Web), ELVIS PRESLEY: THE SEARCHER, a multi-part HBO documentary directed by Thom Zimny (The Wire), and BETTING ON ZERO for director Ted Braun (Darfur Now).

Glen is currently producing a the multi-part HBO documentary feature WHAT’S MY NAME: MUHAMMAD ALI directed by Antoine Fuqua (Training Day, The Equalizer) and executive produced by LeBron James, THE UNTITLED JOHNNY CASH DOCUMENTARY alongside Executive Producer Frank Marshall (Raiders of the Lost Ark, Back to the Future), as well as producing the feature length documentary TREAD with director Paul Solet (Grace) and executive producer Doug Liman (The Bourne Identity).

Glen’s other prior credits include the Grammy Award®-winning FOO FIGHTERS: BACK AND FORTH, and the Emmy Award®-winning GEORGE HARRISON: LIVING IN THE MATERIAL WORLD.

DEVASTATION CLASS, his debut novel written with filmmaker Elaine Mongeon, will be released by Blink (an imprint of HarperCollins) in 2020. Film rights have been acquired by Stampede Ventures.
