“Nancy Stern” on NBC’s OUTSOURCED

Sally Brooks has become one of the most unrecognizable recognized actors working in Hollywood today.

With thousands of hours of television to her credit, Sally’s chameleon-like range has landed her a landslide of roles from the dramatic to the wildly zany – inhabiting each character with truth and breathtaking honesty.

Most notably, audiences will remember her as the quirky and invasive patient Sylvia to Lili Taylor’s therapist character in the Lifetime series STATE OF MIND or as Sister Patrice on THE BERNIE MAC SHOW.

Her numerous TV credits include: THE MENTALIST, COLD CASE, DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES, GREY’S ANATOMY and MONK.

Sally now joins the misfit cast of NBC’s new hit comedy OUTSOURCED as Nancy Stern.

The freshman series has anchored itself securely in the Peacock network’s comedy block that includes THE OFFICE, COMMUNITY and 30 ROCK. This sly fish-out-of-water story has a Kansas City novelty salesman Todd (Ben Rappaport) heading a call center outsourced to Mumbai.  Meanwhile, Todd’s U.S. boss Jerry Stern (Matt Walsh of the Upright Citizens Brigade fame) remains back in the U.S. with his long-suffering wife, Nancy.

Sally says, “I love how open the writers are.  They allow us to improvise and they offer up line changes on the spot. Matt Walsh is a dream to work with.”

An Ohio native, Sally attended the international renowned Interlochen Arts Academy in Michigan as a drama major and went on to study with Annette Bening at the prestigious American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco.

Sally lives in Los Angeles with her beloved cats and dog.
