In this special episode of the Oh Behave show on Pet Life Radio, host Arden Moore speaks with author and animal advocate James Martinez, founder of Helping Tales Publishers. For years, he has donated portions of his books to various animal shelters and rescue groups. Now, he is expanding his help to children who are victims of bullies in his new book, “Teddy T-Rex in The Dinosaur’s New Shoes.” This is a must-have book filled with great messages. James Martinez is President of Helping Tales Publishers and a newly minted author of children’s books. Helping Tales Publishers publishes empowering children’s books that help the readers make a positive impact on the world by donating a portion of the proceeds from each sale to select charities. Their first book to hit the shelves is “Patches’ Awesome Day”. It is a whimsical look into a day in the life of a wonderful dog with a big wet nose. It is written in a rhyming fashion and is fun for kids of all ages. You will laugh and chuckle at Patches’ adventures and the wonderful illustrations make the story come alive. Our next book, “Teddy T-Rex and the Dinosaur’s New Shoes” is in production and will be released in early summer 2013.
Helping Tales Publishers’ first charity to support is Operation Kindness’ Volunteer Grooming fund. This fund benefits dogs at Operation Kindness in Carrollton, TX and helps these matted and disheveled animals get a makeover and shortens their time to adoption to an average of less than 10 days.
James Martinez along with his partner and illustrator Tim Civick has created a fun and wonderful way to both empower and make a difference. Helping Tales Publishers’ motto is “helping those in need, one story at a time” and they are working to make that a reality, not just here in the DFW area but around the world.
